What if I don't have any content or photos?
No problem. When you sign up, we'll have a chat and send you a simple form. Your answers to that form become your content. We'll help edit and improve it too. If you need a logo or branding, our in-house design team can sort that as well. Just ask for a quote.
Can I update my website myself after it goes live?
Yes, that's the whole point. Our custom-built WordPress platform makes it easy for you to add text, swap images, add new pages, and more. We include a training session with every website so you can confidently manage it yourself. You won't need to call us every time something changes in your business.
What if I already have a domain name?
We can transfer your existing domain to your new site as part of every package. If you already have a live website, we won't switch the domain over until your new site is ready to go live, so you won't have any downtime and won't lose your search engine footprint.
Will my site show up on Google?
We include SEO setup with all packages, which means optimising each page with keyword phrases, meta tags, and alt tags so your site performs well in search engines from launch. We also install Yoast SEO so you can carry on improving it yourself. For more ongoing SEO work, ask us about our SEO packages.
What if I need more than 5 pages?
5 pages are set up and populated for you as standard. After that, you can add as many pages as you like yourself at no extra cost. If you want us to set up or write additional pages, it's £40 per page. There's no limit on how big your site can grow.
Can I sell products or take online bookings?
WeeCog works best for professional service-based businesses. We can integrate third-party ecommerce solutions like Stripe or booking widgets from services like Free2Book. If you run accommodation like a B&B or glamping site, ask us about our specialist accommodation websites.
Is there a contract?
Your hosting agreement begins when your site goes live. After the first month, you're free to cancel at any time with no leaving fees and no cancellation charges. We want you to stay because the website is working for your business, not because you're locked in.
How is this different from Wix or Squarespace?
Those are DIY tools. You build it yourself, and it often looks like it. WeeCog is built by our in-house design team, on our own UK hosting, with SEO set up properly from the start.
